Khausa
Khausa is a basically a Burmese spaghetti, except they use coconuts instead of tomato sauce.
For the Coconut Sauce
4 TBSP of urad dal (white lentils)
Soak it
Boil it
Grate it into a paste (with a blender)
2 cans of coconut milk
2 TSP of Turmeric
Salt to taste
Mix all of the above together
Next step is to bhagarofy the coconut milk. To do this:
Heat 1 TBSP of oil
Add 1 TBSP Cumin Seeds
Heat the coconut milk mixture and bring to a very subtle boil (or else it will curdle). Mix the oil and cumin in slowly (it should be sizzling). Once the oil is stirred in you can turn on the heat and prepare the next part.
Kheema Meat
1 lb of ground beef
1 TBSP of ginger
1 TBSP of garlic
¼ Teaspoon of turmeric
¼ Teaspoon of chili powder
¼ Teaspoon of Garam Masala
½ Onion
Mix all the ingredients together and cook the meat.
Pasta Noodles
Prepare 1 box of spaghetti noodles
Mix the noodles and meat into the coconut base and serve with potato chips, cilantro and lime.
